I thought George McCartney was a very capable defender with a good no nonsense attitude.
His sale is also said to of led to the resignation of Alan Curbishley.

I don’t know if 2010 were the halcyon days?

From the 70's players like Billy Jennings and Keith Robson come to mind, as does Dudley Tyler! A great little player who also didn't seem to last long was Johnny Ayris.

Loved Liam Brady for the short time he was with us, as well as Stewart Robson.

I thought both David Burrows and Mike Marsh were very good players for us in the time they were here. Looked up Marsh and he played 49 times, very good midfielder another whose career was cut short by injury I think.

There was a quote from Duxbury at the time about Jiminez and our line-up being Champions League.

He was utter shite.

That Brazilian Ilan i liked.

If only for one match when he scored the first goal against Wigan i think it was, that goal gave me a proper stab in the dark scorecast result which won me the prediction competition on here.

Halcyon days.

I met him a few times when he was at his peak. An absolute gent and totally unassuming. Would get the District line to work and wore the sort of jeans you’d see on someone working the stalls in Queen’s market.

Lawrie Leslie - my first favourite player. He was great at throwing himslef at onrushing forwards feet.

Hermit, I was lucky enough to share a drink with Dev when Maidenhead played Torquay early season. A true great and gentleman.

Wellington Paulista

As someone we paid to NEVER play for us, I liked his none-more-West Ham style. (G.O.A.T)

I saw him score a hat-trick in a 6-0 thrashing of Arsenal in November 1960.

One of the few forwards we have had that when he got a chance I was very confident he would score. Cottee in his prime werent bad either.

I like what you did there. A player so definitely not random that the answer itself is the most random answer on a thread asking for randomness.

Love it.
